Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct the design, selection, and implementation of all of Burn’s IT, hardware, software, and network solutions.
- Create short and long-term strategic goals for managing and maintaining systems and software. Take a lead role in the technical planning for implementation.
- Ensure that all Burns’ systems are well-integrated globally.
- Collaborate with all business units to create system requirements and success criteria.
- Identify software, hardware, and web solutions. Communicating the justification and reasoning to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions meet all technical, business, and user needs.
- Establish best practices for all network engineers, software engineers, and other staff.
- Monitor network status and key indicators to ensure optimal performance and identify maintenance and improvement needs.
- Design and direct implement a test plan to check network performance.
- Ensure data and hardware systems are safe and secure.
- Manage an in-house team of systems, software, and hardware engineers.
- Role may involve travel to other cities /countries as necessary
Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of related experience in the related technology industry.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Proven experience leading the design and implementation of business management systems.
- Prior knowledge and experience managing and or implementing ERP, EPDM, CRM, SPM, or CCM systems.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise systems, networking modules, and software integration.
- Developing network systems in a manufacturing context is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledgeable Scrum Master or proficient in Agile methodologies.
- Working knowledge of AWS product ecosystem.
- Previous experience writing code is a plus.
