Located 60 km north of Mombasa in the resort town of Kilifi within the larger Kilifi County of Kenya, Pwani University is a public university. Before being awarded a charter, the university operated as a constituent college of Kenyatta University. Established on August 23, 2007, the college was formerly known as the Kilifi Institute of Agriculture, and its establishment was ordered by H.E President Mwai Kibaki.
