About Company
In 1957, Machakos University was established by the colonial government as a Technical Rural Training School. Over the years, it underwent several name changes, becoming Machakos Technical and Trade School in 1958, Machakos Technical School in 1967, and Machakos Technical Training Institute (MTTI) in 1987. MTTI gained recognition for its exceptional programs in Engineering and Technology, Hospitality, and Tourism.
With a strong foundation and reputation, Machakos University College was established through Legal Notice No. 130 on September 16, 2011. The institution had been on a mission to attain full university status from its inception, and the achievement of this goal was a significant step in the journey.
